Adventures in Babysitting

Lunden and Brennen babysat for us this week.

Which doesn't happen very often at all!

We definatley need to do that more often!!

Ben had a business dinner for work so, I went along.

It was just nice to get out. No kids.

Of course, I texted Lunden the entire time.

We dressed Emersyn up in this hula outfit the other day.

It was so cute to watch her walk in this skirt.

Summer is startin' early 'round here!

It's been a really busy couple of weeks!

Lunden and her friend Samantha wanted to have a luau/pool party

so the last week of school they handed out cute fliers to 40+ kid's.

The party was a success and a bunch of kid's showed up

AND they weather cooperated. No Storms!

End of school day's...

These last few day's have been emotional for me.

Carsen finished Kindergarten.

(I remember when L&B finished Kindergarten!)

And

Lunden and Brennen have finished middle school.

Where does the time go?!

8TH GRADE CEREMONY

It's offically summer!

Service with a mispelled word.I mean ....smile!

Today was 1/2 day for the kids.
On 1/2 day they don't eat lunch at school.
So, I took them to Sonic.
There, they always get the same thing...
#1 with cheese, no pickles, no onions, mustard and Ketchup only.
Lunden doesn't get tomatoes.
And instead of a soft drink
( why is it called "soft drink"?)
they both like the smoothie called
"Sunshine"
It is a blend of strawberries, bananas and orange juice.
Blended with yogurt and ice. It is actually very good.
So, as I drive around to the window to pay I notice the Sonic sign.
I noticed the "Good luck" part and scanned down to what it said. "GRADUETS".
Lunden and Brennen both heard me say " I can't believe they spelled that wrong!".
They were both like.. "what?".
I said, " The sign!".
Brennen said, " I can't believe you could see that from here!"
I had already paid for the food so I had to ask for a server to come back to the window
and I explained that the sign spelled Graduates wrong.
The girl was embarrassed and mentioned some kid had spelled it wrong.
I told them I just wanted to let them know
so that it doesn't make them look bad.....
TOO LATE!

Tonight, after the kids 8Th grade ceremony Lunden went with Samantha and her parent's to eat.
Lunden said they drove past Sonic and the sign now says
"Good luck Grads 2009"!
HA HA!

Field Day 2009

This is the kid's last week of school!

Hurray!

Today, from 8-10 am was Carsens field day at school

So, Ben and I took the two little ones over to the school

so we could watch all the fun activities going on.

When we got there Carsen had already done his

racing so he was having fun dancing to the loud

music and cheering on his class!

It was getting warm but the field was surrounded by trees

and they had up canopies for each class to sit under.
